At Beneden Beekloop Elementary School, children, team members and parents learn from and with each other in a respectful and safe environment, where creativity, individuality and independence are paramount, with the aim of developing (talents).
Our education focuses on the acquisition of knowledge, on the emotional and mental development, on the development of creativity and on social, cultural and physical skills. We look at the educational needs of children and where necessary, the material is adapted. During the lessons we use cooperative work forms to promote active participation of children and cooperation.
We want to give our students a sense of security and we start from the educational idea in which teaching mutual respect, self-confidence and independence are highly valued.
We believe it is important that children are given more responsibility over their own learning, that they are involved in learning and develop self-reflection.
Thus, we strive to ensure that after leaving the Lower Beekloop, children have an understanding of “This I can”, “This I still want to learn” and “This I need” to be able to take the step into the future with self-confidence.
